Gendarmerie Officially Assumes Security Responsibilities from Police in Man© After 42 Years

Ouahigouya: The territorial gendarmerie brigade of Man© officially took over from the police station of Man© on Friday, during a handover ceremony held under the authority of the president of the special delegation of Man©. After 42 years of service to the population, the Man© police station is permanently leaving this locality to make way for the territorial gendarmerie brigade.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the commander of the territorial gendarmerie brigade of Man©, Chief Warrant Officer Romuald Traor©, reassured the population about the continuity of security efforts. "We will work closely with the local population to maintain and strengthen security in the area," he stated.

In his speech, the outgoing police commissioner gave an overview of the police unit in Man©. "It is with a sense of duty fulfilled that we pass the torch to the gendarmerie today," he said, praising the commitment of his men and the satisfactory collaboration of the population.

The president of the special delegation of the commune of Man©, Wendincont© Alain Kiemtor©, proceeding with the official installation of the territorial gendarmerie brigade, recalled the mission assigned to it. "The objective remains the same: the protection of the territory and the citizens," he stated, before paying tribute to the outgoing commissioner and his men for the "loyal services rendered to the Nation."
