Houet Municipality Receives Donation of 15 Solar Lamps to Enhance Public Lighting

Houet: The municipality of Toussiana received a significant act of solidarity on Monday, March 9, 2026, from one of its own. Thomas Traor©, a former member of the Transitional Legislative Assembly, donated 15 solar lamps for public lighting in the town.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the official handover of this donation took place in the presence of local authorities, headed by the president of the special delegation (PDS) of Toussiana, Ms. Dabon©/Zabsonr© C©cile. With this gesture, the donor intends to contribute to improving the living conditions of the population and strengthening security in the municipality.

Thomas Traor© mentioned that these solar lamps will be installed in certain public spaces to better illuminate frequented areas and reduce the risks associated with insecurity at night. He also reaffirmed his commitment to the development of the locality.

Upon receiving this donation, the PDS expressed its sincere gratitude to the benefactor. Ms. Dabon©/Zabsonr© C©cile commended Thomas Traor©'s ongoing commitment to the progress of Toussiana and assured him that these lamps would be used wisely for the well-being of the population.

It is worth noting that this is not the former member of parliament's first act of support for the municipality. He was notably responsible for the installation of the first traffic lights in Toussiana, thus contributing to the improvement of traffic flow and road safety.
