Banfora: Women's organizations in the Tannounyan region organized a cleanup day on Saturday at the Women's Center in Banfora, located in Sector 8 (Korona). The goal of this initiative was to clean and sanitize the courtyard of this facility dedicated to women's activities.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this citizen operation saw the participation of the Governor of the Tannounyan region, Patrice Yeye, accompanied by the administrative authorities of the region, who came to support and encourage the women mobilized for the occasion.
Speaking at the event, the Governor praised the strong mobilization of women, which he considered a testament to the importance they place on the activities organized during Women's Month. He congratulated them on their commitment and contribution to development and sanitation efforts in their living environment.
In his message, the region's top official emphasized the need for women to prioritize initiatives that are useful and have a real impact on their daily lives, the lives of their families, and the nation as a whole. He also invited the participants to fully engage in all the activities scheduled during this month dedicated to women.
Mr. Yeye also urged women to strengthen their unity and solidarity in order to collectively meet the challenges of development. He stressed the importance of undertaking activities that improve living conditions for themselves, their families, and the entire nation. The women demonstrated their civic engagement while contributing to the sanitation of the Women's House, an important space for their activities in the Tannounyan region.
