Sandbondtenga: The President and CEO of Compagnie Abdoul Transport (CA-Trans), Dr. Abdou Wahab Sawadogo, handed over 12.5 tons of rice and cooking oil to the returning populations of the villages of Zorkoum, Zandogo, and Delga, in the commune of Kaya, Sandbondtenga province. This gesture aims to support populations who have returned to their places of origin and to contribute to the improvement of their living conditions in a context of gradual return to stability.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the High Commissioner of Sandbondtenga Province, Idrissa Gamsonre, indicated that the gesture by the CEO of CA-Trans responds to the call from the President of Burkina Faso. The President urged all sons and daughters of Burkina Faso, particularly those in the diaspora, to support the populations affected by the security crisis. On behalf of the regional and provincial authorities, he expressed his gratitude to the donor for this act of solidarity and civic engagement towards the people.
The president of the special delegation (PDS) of Kaya, Kima/Minoungou Solange, expressed her gratitude to the donor for this initiative. Representative of the donor, Desire Yameogo, welcomed the gradual return of peace to the area thanks to the combined actions of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), thus allowing the populations to return to their villages of origin.
The beneficiaries, through their representatives, also expressed their gratitude to the donor for this act of solidarity. Abdoulaye Bamogo, the provincial director in charge of Family and Solidarity, praised the initiative, noting that it was the donor's third act of solidarity in support of the local population. According to him, this contribution is fully in line with the spirit of the month of solidarity.
