Koubri: The Koubri market gardening cooperative handed over a donation of ten tonnes of cement to the Koubri Mªbo Communal Committee on Thursday, in support of local development actions initiated within the framework of the presidential Faso Mªbo initiative. The donation was presented during a ceremony attended by a large delegation of cooperative members. The shipment of cement was received by the first vice-president of the Koubri Mªbo municipal committee, Sibiri Compaore, assisted by the town hall's secretary general, Mahamadou Nonkouni.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the cooperative's spokesperson, Germain Tassembedo, stated that this gesture reflects their commitment to the values of solidarity, patriotism, and civic participation in the community's development. They indicated that the market gardeners, as local economic actors, intend to contribute to the construction and improvement of community infrastructure.
For the leaders of the municipal committee, this contribution represents a strong signal of citizen mobilization around the grassroots development initiative. They commended the commitment of the market gardening cooperative and encouraged other active members of the community to follow suit in order to strengthen the collective momentum for local progress.
The Koubri Mªbo initiative is part of the vision of promoting endogenous, participatory, and sustainable development, advocated by the presidential initiative Faso Mªbo, which invites people to become more involved in the realization of works of community interest.
On this occasion, municipal officials launched an appeal for the general mobilization of citizens, community organizations, and socio-economic actors to support the construction and modernization efforts of the municipality. "Together, with a bag of cement, a wheelbarrow of sand, gravel, or pebbles, we can build our community and contribute to the development of our homeland," said the first vice-president of the Koubri Mªbo municipal committee, Sibiri Compaore.
