School Principals Urged to Strengthen Collaboration for Quality Education

Burkina faso: The Provincial Director of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education (DPEPPNF) of Ioba, Adama Nya, invited the school directors of the basic education district (CEB) of Zambo to strengthen collaboration and commitment to improving the quality of education.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the exchange meeting, held in Zambo, allowed the provincial head of primary education to remind school leaders of their role in the educational chain and to ensure the effective implementation of the various reforms undertaken by the ministry in charge of education.

In his presentation, Mr. Nya emphasized the importance of the school principal's role, stating that they must embody several qualities essential to the smooth functioning of the education system. "Loyalty, punctuality, diligence, and a sense of responsibility must guide your daily actions," he declared.

He called on school leaders to demonstrate cohesion and commitment in carrying out their duties to ensure quality education. During the discussions, school principals indicated that the reforms initiated by the ministry are indeed being implemented in all schools, despite some challenges encountered on the ground.

Faced with these constraints, the DPEPPNF recommended that school leaders explore homegrown solutions, while awaiting possible support from the State.

The meeting took place in the presence of the head of the basic education district (CCEB) of Zambo, the educational supervisors as well as the provincial official in charge of supervision.
