Sebba School Council Members Enhance Skills Through NRC Training Initiative

Sebba: Members of the Sebba School Council offices recently engaged in a training program on March 15 and 16, 2026. This initiative, led by the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), aims to enhance their effectiveness in school management and student support.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the training program was aligned with the Better Learning Program (BLP), which provided parent representatives with tools for more effective and participatory school management. Participants gained practical insights into their roles and responsibilities, ensuring the operational efficiency of school councils. They were also introduced to the "Better Learning" program, which focuses on identifying stress within the school environment, understanding its manifestations, and applying recovery mechanisms.

This training module has enabled participants to gain a deeper understanding of the psychosocial challenges that learners face. The insights acquired are expected to support the adoption of appropriate strategies to elevate academic performance among students.

The training sessions were conducted by Bako Bali, Head of the Basic Education District (CCEB), with assistance from Adrien Diapa, a representative of NRC. At the conclusion of the program, participants reaffirmed their commitment to supporting students throughout their educational journey, acknowledging their crucial role in nurturing future leaders for national development.

The organizers of the program expressed satisfaction with the active participation and encouraged all involved to strive for quality education, underscoring its importance as a foundation for a better future for the nation.
