S©gu©n©ga: Food Supplies Provided to 20 Families of VDP (Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland) Who Fell in Combat During the Month of Ramadan

S©gu©n©ga: The citizen watch of S©gu©n©ga, through the association "S©gu©n©ga Neekr©", handed over food on Sunday, March 15, 2026 in the premises of the gendarmerie, to 20 families of Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) who fell on the front, AIB observed.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was understated and presided over by the president of the national coordination of citizen vigilance in S©gu©n©ga, Hamadou Ou©draogo. The event was attended by customary and religious authorities, along with officials from the defense and security forces (FDS) and the VDP.

The donation included 10 bags of rice, 10 cans of oil, and 20 packets of sugar, which were provided to the families from the communes of S©gu©n©ga, Kossouka, and Rambo. Mahamadi Zombo, president of the "S©gu©n©ga Neekr©" association, stated that this initiative was meant to bring joy to the families as the Ramadan holiday approached.

Chief Warrant Officer Souleymane Ou©draogo, representing the beneficiaries, expressed gratitude to the association, noting that the support provided comfort to the VDP involved in the struggle. Hamadou Ou©draogo, the president of the National Coordination of Citizen Vigilance (CNAVC) in S©gu©n©ga, encouraged others in the commune to support the families of the fallen VDP.
