Nahouri/Ziou Commune Boosts Security with Motorcycle Donation

Nahouri: The President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the Ziou commune, Salam Marane, received nine Aloba brand motorcycles on Saturday, March 21, 2026, for the benefit of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) of the commune. This initiative is an exemplary gesture of solidarity from the sons and daughters of the Ziou commune, in response to the regional initiative "One Village, One Motorcycle for the VDP," launched by the Governor of the Nazinon region.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the sons and daughters of the commune of Ziou, located about sixty kilometers east of P´, presented nine "Aloba" motorcycles to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP). This donation aligns with the regional initiative "One Village, One Motorcycle for the VDP," which was launched by the governor of the Nazinon region.

Salam Marane, the President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the Ziou commune, expressed that this contribution is a direct response to the regional authority's appeal. The community's mobilization for its defense forces is a testament to their resilience. "The people of Ziou have just performed a major patriotic act. These motorcycles will increase the intervention capacity and mobility of the units committed to the security of the national territory," stated the municipal authority.

Narcisse Sia, the president of the organizing committee, highlighted the significance of this donation amid a challenging security context. He urged the recipients to make optimal use of these vehicles to ensure peace and tranquility for the people of Ziou. Furthermore, Mr. Sia encouraged his fellow residents in Ziou to remain engaged and ready for future initiatives.
