According to Burkina Information Agency, Imam Gaoussou Bagagna emphasized the importance of faith in seeking divine intervention for peace. He stated, "The intercession of peace with God depends in part on our faith. On this blessed day, we include our valiant VDP (Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland) and the country's leaders in our prayers." Harouna Kone, a preacher at the mosque, supported this call, asking God for the return of internally displaced persons to their respective communities.

The Imam's first deputy, Issa Zima, delivered a message of blessings, entrusting all services, particularly healthcare workers and personnel, to divine protection. He urged the Muslim faithful to embrace social cohesion, solidarity, and forgiveness during this time of reflection and celebration.
