Ouagadougou: The Mobile Brigade for Economic Control and the Repression of Fraud (BMCRF) announced on Tuesday in Ouagadougou, during a press conference, the seizure of imported weaving yarns as well as counterfeit woven loincloths, with a total value of 20,504,725 FCFA.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the BMCRF carried out this operation to combat the proliferation of counterfeit goods in the textile industry. The authorities emphasized the importance of protecting local businesses and consumers from the adverse effects of counterfeit products entering the market.
The seized items include weaving yarns and counterfeit woven fabrics, which were intended for distribution across various regions. The BMCRF highlighted the ongoing efforts to monitor and control the economic activities to ensure compliance with regulations and safeguard the interests of legitimate businesses.
