Boulgou-zonse: The president of the special delegation (PDS) of the municipality of Zonse, Wendenmi Frederic Ouedraogo, invited the population on Tuesday to demonstrate fiscal civic responsibility, on the occasion of the Day of Exemplary Tax Practice. In his speech, the PDS stressed that this day aims to promote civic responsibility in paying local taxes and fees, which are essential to the development of the municipality.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the PDS noted that tax revenues contribute to the financing of infrastructure and basic social services, including schools, health centers, roads, and public lighting. However, he deplored the persistence of uncivil behavior, characterized by non-payment or under-declaration of taxes, which it described as an obstacle to local development and an injustice towards taxpayers who respect their obligations.
"People of Zonse, I urge you to make this day a starting point for increased commitment to tax compliance, through respect for tax obligations and better collaboration with the relevant services," he wished. The PDS also commended the efforts of the agents responsible for mobilizing municipal resources and encouraged the recognition of exemplary taxpayers.
During this initiative, a sum of three hundred thousand (300,000) CFA francs was raised. He finally called on all citizens to become more involved in building a united and prosperous Zonse commune.
