Ouagadougou: Pastor Mamadou Karambiri, founder and delegate of the International Center for Evangelization African Home Mission (CIE/MIA), implored God's grace for Burkina Faso on Sunday during the Easter celebration, emphasizing the need for divine intervention in the country's struggle for security and development. The pastor expressed gratitude for the resurrection of Christ, viewing it as a symbol of new beginnings and a hopeful path forward for the nation.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Pastor Karambiri highlighted the importance of grace and peace as prerequisites for progress, urging the people of Burkina Faso to embrace social cohesion through the love of God. He delivered his message at the CIE/MIA in Dassasgho, reinforcing the idea that religion should unify rather than divide.

Pastor Abdoulaye Lankoande further underscored Easter's significance, labeling it the pivotal event in Christianity when peace is revealed. He expressed hopes for peace to permeate the nation and for divine support to aid the fighting forces against terrorism.

Evangelist Talata Aline Kabore/Zabnogo echoed the call for a national "resurrection," advocating for relief and restoration across various facets of life in Burkina Faso. She prayed for comfort for widows and grieving families, as well as financial and social recovery.

A government delegation led by Minister of State, Emile Zerbo, attended the celebration, extending Easter greetings on behalf of the President and Prime Minister. Minister Zerbo emphasized the importance of embodying the values of temperance and love inspired by Christ's resurrection in daily life to foster social unity.

He also called on communities to remember non-Christians and support the defense and security forces actively engaged in operations.
