Governor Siaka Barro Presides Over Flag-Raising Ceremony in Batie

Noumbiel: The Governor of the Dj´r´ region, Siaka Barro, presided on Monday in Batie over the traditional monthly flag-raising ceremony, in the presence of constituted bodies and a highly mobilized population, after the stages held in the provinces of Ioba and Bougouriba.

According to Burkina Information Agency, regional and provincial administration officials, defense and security forces, members of civil society, and men and women from the media attended the raising of the flag, singing the national anthem in unison, sung in the national language Dioula by students from the various schools present.

In his message, the High Commissioner of the province of Noumbiel, Drissa Hema, thanked the Governor for this tour which will allow him to get a feel for the realities of the provinces. Drissa Hema also praised the exemplary conduct shown by the Governor, who has always been able to manage through his leadership and his spirit of bringing people together in the implementation of public policies desired by the highest authorities.

Speaking at the event, the Governor, while acknowledging the strong mobilization of the population, reiterated his encouragement to the constituted bodies as well as to all the different corporations of the province for the constant interest shown around the traditional raising of the colors.

In his closing remarks, Siaka Barro congratulated the people of Noumbiel for their active participation in the "an ambulance for the Dj´r´ national fire brigade" initiative.
