Mouhoun/jeppc: The population of the commune of Ouarkoye responded massively to the call of the local authorities on Saturday, April 4, 2026, as part of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC), by organizing a vast sanitation operation within the communal medical center, for a clean environment conducive to welcoming patients and improving the conditions of care.
According to Burkina Information Agency, more than 500 volunteers, made up of civilians, Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), took part in this civic activity. Armed with hoes, rakes, and brooms, they took over the courtyard of the health facility from the early hours of the morning to show their support for the patriotic momentum initiated at the national level.
The President of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Ouarkoye, Idrissa Ganame, highlighted that this action goes beyond a simple sanitation operation. "Cleaning our health center means preserving our human capital, the foundation of all local production and consumption. It is at this level that our sovereignty begins," he stated.
In a few hours, the overgrown weeds and waste were cleared away, leaving a clean and healthy environment, conducive to welcoming patients and improving care conditions. Beyond its hygienic aspect, this cleanliness day was a true demonstration of unity and resilience among the people of Ouarkoye.
