Sourou: The High Commission of the Sourou province commended the commitment of several public and private structures, as well as individuals, for their continuous efforts toward the province's development in 2025 during a recognition ceremony held on April 9, 2026.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the High Commissioner of the province, D©sir© Badolo, stated that the ceremony was organized to acknowledge the dedication of these actors in their respective fields and to encourage others to follow their lead. He emphasized the significant efforts made by these contributors to uphold the country's reputation in Sourou. Badolo further encouraged the awardees to intensify their commitment to address the challenges faced by the province and Burkina Faso as a whole.

The recipients expressed gratitude to the provincial leader for the initiative, which they found inspiring. They committed to continuing and enhancing their efforts to merit this recognition further. Dieudonn© Yaro, the provincial director in charge of Sports and Recreation of Sourou, conveyed his appreciation, viewing the certification as an invitation to intensify his efforts for Sourou's development.

Musician and traditional wrestling referee Assimi Par©, another recipient, also appreciated the recognition. He stated that the distinction motivates them to increase their efforts in cultural and sporting areas and called on the people of Tougan and Sourou to strive harder for Burkina Faso's development.
