Niaogho Prefect Encourages Patriotic Commitment in Catholic Schools

Niaogho: Prefect Karim Sana calls for strengthening patriotic commitment in Catholic schools during a ceremony at the local Catholic private primary school. The event featured the solemn raising of the national colors and aimed to enhance civic participation among the attendees.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was attended by administrative and educational authorities, defense and security forces, and a large turnout from the population. The school's director, Bertrand Nagalo, shared the institution's history, stating that the school was established in 1947 and officially opened in 1954, with the first teacher starting in 1948. Currently, the school employs eight teachers-three men and five women-who educate 302 students.

During the event, director Nagalo expressed satisfaction with the school's performance in the Primary School Certificate over the past three years. Prefect Sana acknowledged the community's strong participation and expressed gratitude to the defense and security forces and Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland for their efforts in safeguarding the population.

Mr. Sana also praised the teachers for their dedication to educating students and urged them to maintain their commitment. He encouraged students to focus on their studies and reminded everyone that the activity is part of the Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation, running from March 26 to April 9. He also advocated for the consumption of local products to support the community.
