Ouagadougou: The first vice-president of the special delegation of the Commune of S©gu©n©ga officially launched the Organization of Sport and Culture in Primary School (OSCEP) season 2026 for the Basic Education District of S©gu©n©ga 1 (CEB 1) on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. The event took place on the grounds of the primary school in Baku, highlighting the theme of resilience.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the launch event included speeches from several key figures. Sadou Mand©, Secretary General of the Communal Committee of the School Council, Harouna Salgo, Secretary General of the Committee of OSCEP of the CEB, and Dimanche Kabor©, Head of the Office of School Cultural Activities and Leisure, all addressed the significance of integrating sports and culture into primary education. Noaga Michel Kindo, from CEB, also emphasized this importance.
Yacouba Guiro, the first vice-president of the special delegation, formally inaugurated the season with a declaration, encouraging participants with the phrase, "the best one wins!" Authorities present at the event initiated the opening football match, where the Baku school competed against the Franco-Arab Saada school from S©gu©n©ga. Baku school secured victory by scoring a goal five minutes into the second half.
The ceremony also featured performances by school troupes from Gambo B and Namassa schools, adding a cultural dimension to the sporting event.
