Cairo: The Embassy of Burkina Faso in Egypt, in collaboration with the High Council of Burkinabe Abroad and the Bureau of Burkinabe Students in Egypt, organized a day dedicated to the Burkinabe diaspora under its jurisdiction on April 9, 2026, in Cairo.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was chaired by Ms. Hadissa Guissou, Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of Burkina Faso in Cairo. The event featured participation from Mr. Nouridine Pare, Delegate to the High Council of Burkina Faso in Egypt, and Mr. Ibrahim Kouanda, President of Burkinabe Students in Egypt.
This initiative was part of the third edition 2026 of the National Days of Patriotic Engagement and Citizen Participation. The program for the day included a panel discussion on patriotism and integrity, led by the Charge d'Affaires, as well as an awareness session on the Agency for the Promotion of Community Entrepreneurship (APEC). Additionally, a fundraising drive was held for internally displaced persons and the Patriotic Support Fund.
The ceremony was highlighted by artistic and cultural activities, and it concluded with a tasting of local dishes, all within a friendly and fraternal atmosphere.
