Sourou: Author Iron Bender donates 20 copies of his new book to 5 establishments in Tougan. Writer Mamadou Kousse, better known as Iron Bender, gave 20 copies of his brand new book entitled "The Mysterious Adventure of Boussouyan" to five establishments in Tougan on Saturday, April 18, 2026.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the books were handed over during a book presentation ceremony presided over by the President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of Tougan, Ouigou Tirndrebeogo, and sponsored by Seydou Boro, CEO of Bopa Internationale, in the presence of several actors in education and culture.
Through this work, the author calls for solidarity among San communities in the face of difficult situations. The speaker, Yaya Bazie, a doctor of history, stated that the author drew inspiration from traditional and cultural values by using purely San names, rich in meaning and symbolism. For him, this approach aims to encourage everyone to be proud of their culture, to preserve it and to pass it on to future generations.
At the end of the presentation, the twenty copies were handed over to five establishments in the city, including the Daka General Education College, the Notre-Dame de Tougan school complex, the Provincial High School, the Municipal High School, and the Saint Thomas d'Aquin private high school and to other literary associations.
According to the author, this donation aims to encourage students to read in order to discover the story told in the book, which he describes as inspired by real events in San country. The representative of the sponsor, Bapa Darga du Boulgou, who is also in charge of communication for Bopa Internationale, congratulated the author on his initiative and expressed his willingness to support promising actions in the region.
The first vice-president of the special delegation, Siaka Boro, representing the PDS, also praised the author, thanking him for choosing the beneficiary institutions and inviting students and participants to read the book in order to better understand its content.
