Koosin: The population of the village of Dokuy mobilized on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, for essential maintenance work on the crucial road linking their locality to Nouna. This initiative, prompted by the citizen watch, saw residents unite to address urgent road conditions affecting their daily lives.According to Burkina Information Agency, the primary goal of this community-driven effort is to repair the numerous "potholes" along the route, particularly focusing on the severely deteriorated Kamadena-Toni section. The president of the citizen watch, Hamadou Sangaré, highlighted that this project was initiated following the visit of the High Commissioner of the province of Koosin, Noufo Dembélé, to Dokuy. The community's mobilization marks the fulfillment of a pledge made during this official visit.Sangaré expressed appreciation for the involvement of the canton chief, whose active presence on the work site underscored the importance of the initiative. He emphasized that the maintenance work impacts all vil lages in the area, underscoring the collective effort required to improve local infrastructure.To facilitate these repairs, aggregates have been collected, and trucks will soon transport wild stones to the site.
