Sandbondtenga: The Korsimoro Non-Formal Basic Education Center (CEBNF) unveiled the know-how of its learners on Wednesday through an open day held under the chairmanship of the Head of the Basic Education District (CCEB), Sada Sawadogo.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this first open day was marked by a guided tour of the training workshops, exhibitions, and presentations punctuated by cultural activities. It allowed the public to discover this type of education as well as the practical skills acquired by the learners. Camisoles, men's and women's shirts, metal doors, chairs, and windows, as well as other items from the tailoring and metalwork sectors, aroused the admiration of visitors.

For the center's director, Ousmane Bangre, this initiative aims to showcase the potential of CEBNF and encourage greater community involvement. "The place of CEBNF in the educational system is no longer in question, since it offers a second chance and concrete prospects for the future to many young people in the community," he stressed.

The learners expressed their pride in the skills acquired. "We are satisfied with the quality of the learning received, which combines practical training and theoretical teaching," said Beno®t Sawadogo, a 2nd year metal carpentry student. Salamata Bargo, a 2nd year dressmaking student, expressed her gratitude to the supervisors for their availability and support.

At the end of the visit, Inspector Sada Sawadogo congratulated the administration and supervisors for the results achieved on the ground. He reiterated his commitment to supporting the CEBNF in its mission of training for trades and teaching national languages, considered as "essential pillars for an education adapted to the socio-economic realities of the country."

Created in 1995, the CEBNF of Korsimoro has, for the current school year, 173 learners, divided between the cutting and sewing sector and the metal carpentry sector.
