Namentenga: The High Commissioner of Namentenga Province, Adama Conseiga, paid tribute to the winners of the 22nd National Culture Week (SNC) during a flag-raising ceremony held at the Boulsa post office. The cultural event concluded on May 2, 2026, in Bobo-Dioulasso.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was attended by the constituted bodies of Namentenga province. During the event, the High Commissioner encouraged medical students who selected the Boulsa health district for their internships and praised the SNC award winners for their artistic achievements at the cultural event in Sya.

The High Commissioner congratulated Namentenga ambassadors for their accomplishments, notably winning first prize in slam poetry and culinary arts at the SNC Bobo 2026. He announced that the trophies would be officially presented at a tribute ceremony in the future.

Mr. Conseiga also highlighted the importance of preserving tangible and intangible heritage, urging residents to actively promote their cultural identity.

The provincial director of Communication, Culture, Arts, and Tourism, Touwendinda Francis Sakande, revealed that plans are underway to involve students in promotional activities within Namentenga province. He mentioned the initiation of a guided tourist circuit with students.

Emile Compaore, the chief medical officer of the Boulsa health district, introduced the eight medical students who will be immersed in the district for a month and sought support for their successful stay.

Ali Kabore, the post office manager, expressed satisfaction that his branch was chosen for the ceremony and highlighted opportunities available at the post office, inviting public engagement.
