Koosin Ceremony Marks Installation of New Chief Clerk and Swearing-In of Public Servants

Koosin: A solemn ceremony for the installation of the chief clerk, Souleymane Ouattara, and the swearing-in of 10 trainee assistants of water and forestry, 5 trainee assistants of the penitentiary security guard, and 1 judicial interpreter, was held this Friday, April 24, 2026, in the presence of administrative, military, and paramilitary authorities.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the prosecutor Armel Sama conveyed the full recognition of the High Court to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) for their efforts in restoring peace to Koosin. The installation ceremony for Souleymane Ouattara marks his commencement of duties as head clerk at the court and strengthens his role as chief clerk at the administrative court.

The president of the court, Moussa Bassan, highlighted the chief clerk's crucial role in assisting magistrates in their duties. Meanwhile, the court interpreter, Koudaogo Benjamin Kabre, pledged fidelity to his commitments, serving as a vital communication bridge between the court and participants in legal proceedings.

The ceremony also saw the participation of 10 trainee assistants from the water and forestry service and 5 trainee assistants from the prison security guard, all of whom took part in the swearing-in process. The president of the court stressed the importance of the oath of office, which demands discipline, respect for hierarchy, and a commitment to serving the public.
