Banwa: The 2026 edition of sports and cultural activities concludes in the Kouka Basic Education District (CEB). The Basic Education District (CEB) of Kouka beautifully concluded its sports and cultural activities on Friday, May 8, 2026, on the grounds of the Kouka E Public Primary School, at the end of a ceremony rich in colours and emotions.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony began with a symbolic parade of several schools. The most anticipated moment was the football final, which offered the public a unique spectacle. In the opening match, the Kouka C women's team defeated Kouka B 1-0, winning the trophy, a set of jerseys, and 20,000 CFA francs. The Kouka B team, finishing second in the girls' competition, received 15,000 CFA francs and a ball. The two best third-place teams, the schools of Sall© and Kouka F, each received a ball and 5,000 CFA francs.
In the men's final, the crowd witnessed a hard-fought match, with both teams giving their all. Ultimately, Kouka B emerged victorious over Mol© with a score of 2-0, maintaining their unbeaten record after winning the previous edition. School B, the winner, took home the trophy, a set of jerseys, 25,000 CFA francs, and a ball. The Mol© school received 20,000 CFA francs, a set of jerseys, and a ball. The two best third-place teams, the Franco-Arab Nassourdine school and the Sall© school, each received 10,000 CFA francs and a ball.
At halftime, the students of the Kouka D Public Primary School, supervised by H©ma Kongoussi Issa, kept the public in suspense through ballets and playbacks. Beyond football, the best schools in culture were also rewarded.
Held under the patronage of Mr. Safi©nal© Joseph Sirima, High Commissioner of the Banwa Province, and presided over by the Second Vice-President of the Special Delegation of Kouka, Mr. Andr© Boroma Dionou, this ceremony was marked by the presence of several personalities who came to enhance its prestige. The Kouka Basic Education District has, once again, expressed its deep gratitude to all those involved who, directly or indirectly, contributed to the success of this educational celebration.
