T©nado: The Bavila 'A' school won the football final of the Organization of Sport, Culture and Physical Education (OSCEP) of the Basic Education District (CEB) of Tenado on Saturday, May 10, beating the Koukouldi 'A' school by a score of one goal to zero.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the CEB of T©nado has concluded its sports and cultural season. The highlight of this event was the OSCEP football final, which pitted the Bavila "A" school against the Koukouldi "A" school, the reigning champions. At the end of a hard-fought match, it was the schoolchildren of Bavila "A" who managed to dethrone their opponents by the smallest of margins (1-0).
Thanks to this victory, the champion team takes home the trophy, a financial package of more than 150,000 FCFA, a set of jerseys and a ball. The runner-up team, Koukouldi 'A', received a sum of 75,000 FCFA along with various prizes. The spirit of fair play was also rewarded, as all other participating teams received encouragement prizes.
The First Vice-President of the special delegation of the municipality of T©nado, Auguste Philippe Bationo, representing the PDS, praised the dynamism of the local educational community. He particularly commended the teachers and supervisors for their dedication to promoting sport and culture in schools. For his part, the Secretary General of OSCEP, Stephane Bayala, expressed the organizers' gratitude to the authorities, sponsors and partners whose support made this edition a complete success.
The ceremony mobilized many administrative and customary authorities, including the provincial director of preschool, primary and non-formal education in Sangui©, Bapian Yo, as well as Inspector ‰douard Kabor©, representing the head of the CEB of T©nado.
