Ioba: The Head of the Basic Education District (CCEB) of Gueguere, Seghnifa Rigobert Some, presided over a meeting on Friday, April 24, 2026, to prepare educational stakeholders for the Artistic and Cultural Month (MAC), scheduled from June 15 to July 15, 2026.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting, held in the meeting room of the Gueguere town hall, brought together school directors, the presidents of the school and municipal councils, and the educational supervisors of the district. The city hall's secretary general, Harouna Sanga, also participated in the meeting. This gathering allowed the CCEB to present the artistic and cultural month initiative and its implementation strategies, defining the roles and responsibilities of the various stakeholders involved.

During the discussions, participants welcomed the relevance of the initiative while raising several concerns related mainly to the timing of the activities, the mobilization of resource people, the necessary equipment, and the financial resources allocated to the training of learners in the fields of arts and culture.

In response, Rigobert Some stated that the artistic and cultural month is "a national affair" requiring the involvement of all segments of society. He invited the various stakeholders to develop initiatives and strategies that would foster the acquisition of artistic and cultural skills among students. The Secretary General of the City Hall, Harouna Sanga, called on all stakeholders to work together to ensure the success of this national cultural event.

According to him, the implementation of MAC activities will help build a solid foundation for the promotion and enhancement of the cultural, traditional, and artistic values of Burkina Faso.
