Zoundw©ogo: The canton chief of Bind©, His Majesty Naaba Yanbolobo II, on Friday in his palace made sacrifices of poultry and cattle to implore peace, security and prosperity in Burkina Faso, on the occasion of the Day of Customs and Traditions. Surrounded by his customary ministers and the notables of his canton, the traditional chief offered prayers for the Burkinab¨ nation and particularly for the youth of Bind©.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Naaba Yanbolobo II expressed his wishes during the incantations accompanying the sacrifices, asking for divine intervention to bring peace and security back to Burkina Faso. He also sought blessings and prosperity for the youth of Bind©, hoping that the spirits and ancestors would facilitate a glorious season for the people.

The canton chief emphasized the significance of the Day of Customs and Traditions, considering it a valuable initiative to help people reconnect with ancestral and customary values, which are the bedrock of Burkinabe cultural identity. He expressed his gratitude to the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, for establishing this customary framework for expression, and wished him success in the governance of state affairs.

The sacrifices, which included poultry, a ram, and a dog, were performed to request peace, security, and prosperity for the commune of Bind© and the entire nation of Burkina Faso. Prior to the rites, His Majesty received greetings and well wishes from the traditional leaders of his district. The sacrifices were conducted by the Kougr-Naaba and his associates under the watchful eye of the canton chief.

The ceremony concluded with a convivial gathering, where guests and visitors shared a meal, fostering a sense of community and celebration.
