Solenzo: The residents of Bayé village, located 16 km from Solenzo, commemorated on Saturday the first anniversary of their return to the village, following a year of resettlement made possible by the fighting forces. The ceremony took place in the village square. Testimonies and traditional Marka, Bwamu, and Mossi dances were performed in front of the resident populations and those from neighboring villages who came for the occasion.According to Burkina Information Agency, a roundabout named "Lossi roundabout" was inaugurated during the event in the presence of the High Commissioner and his delegation from Solenzo. Messages promoting social cohesion, harmonious coexistence, and respect for African values ??were the highlights of this ceremony. The village of Bayé, nicknamed the "Kidal of the Banwa," had suffered multiple attacks which led to the displacement of its inhabitants to Solenzo, Dédougou, and Bobo-Dioulasso on March 13, 2022.The village chief, Aboubacar Coulibaly, expressed gratitude to the fig hting forces, stating, "Thanks to our FDS and VDP, we returned to our land on May 5, 2025, which allowed us to produce and resume our various activities which brought life back to the village." The High Commissioner of the Banwa province, Sanfiénalé Joseph Sirima, also emphasized unity and tolerance among the people of Bayé and neighboring villages.Sanfiénalé Joseph Sirima encouraged the community by saying, "This mobilization and the completion of this roundabout show that you are united and we must keep this flame of unity burning." The vision of the Popular Progressive Revolution, presidential initiatives, and the vision of the Faso Mêbo Agency were shared with the population. Additionally, the community expressed the need for the repair of the water tower, refurbishment of sanitary and educational infrastructure, and restoration of the mobile phone antenna.
