Koudougou: The Imasgo Normal School for Catechists (ENC) has recently made available 19 new catechist couples to the Diocese of Koudougou. This marked the conclusion of a rigorous four-year training program for the 78th class, aimed at preparing them for service in the field.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the end of the training was celebrated with a Eucharistic ceremony led by Father Joseph Zongo, the parish priest of Saint John Vianney of Yako. During his homily, Father Zongo highlighted the critical role catechists play in nurturing Christian life and advancing the Church's mission of evangelization. He assured the new catechists of the Church community's unwavering support as they embark on their future responsibilities.
Father Patrice Yam©ogo, the director of ENC, encouraged the faithful to warmly welcome the new pastoral agents. He emphasized the importance of joy and love in receiving them and urged community members to collaborate openly with these catechists to ensure their successful integration and mission in serving the people of God.
