Sissili: The Secretary General of the province of Sissili, Baowinsida Bingo, representing the High Commissioner Téwendé Isaac Sia, initiated the official launch of the sports tests for the 2026 baccalaureate session at the Provincial High School of Léo. A total of 183 candidates from the school are participating in this process to obtain their first university diploma in the region.According to Burkina Information Agency, the Provincial High School of Léo was the venue for the commencement of the physical education and sports tests for the baccalaureate exam. The provincial authorities aimed to provide support and encouragement to the candidates embarking on this significant educational milestone."As these are the very first baccalaureate exams, it was our duty to come to the field to convey all our encouragement to the candidates," stated Baowinsida Bingo, the Secretary General of the province.In response to security concerns, the High Commissioner's representative assured that all necessary measures h ave been implemented to ensure the smooth conduct of the exams. This includes collaboration with the Provincial Directorate in charge of sports and recreation and the Defense and Security Forces (FDS).Lawabien Serge Toé, the Provincial Director of Secondary Education and Vocational and Technical Training (DPESFPT), urged candidates to maintain honesty during the exams. He emphasized the importance of integrity and encouraged students to rely on their own abilities to earn the diploma.On the logistical side, Sylvain Kaboré, president of the examination board at the Provincial High School of Léo, confirmed the readiness of equipment and materials for the assessments. He highlighted the vigilance of examiners, particularly regarding specific phases of the sports tests.Candidates expressed a mix of enthusiasm and relief as they began the sports events. Aïcha, a Terminale A4 student, appreciated the quality of the facilities, expressing hope for a positive start to the exams. Diallo Ali, a Terminal D student , encouraged his peers to remain resilient and continue working towards success, despite any stress they might feel.After the completion of the sports tests, candidates in Sissili, along with their counterparts across Burkina Faso, will proceed to the written exams in the upcoming weeks.
