Passor© Provincial Director’s Cup: Oumarou Cl©ment Ou©draogo Departmental High School Triumphs in Inaugural Edition

Yako: The final of the first edition of the Passor© Provincial Director of Secondary, Vocational and Technical Education (DPESFPT) Inter-School Cup was held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at the Oumarou Kanazo© Stadium in Yako. The Oumarou Cl©ment Ou©draogo Departmental High School of Arboll© clinched the trophy by defeating the Yako Provincial Multipurpose High School.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the competition, which began on March 7, 2026, concluded with the Oumarou Cl©ment Ou©draogo Departmental High School of Arboll© emerging victorious in the final match. The event was organized under the theme "School sports in Passor©: a vector of social cohesion, promotion of culture and talent," and attracted various administrative, traditional, and religious figures, alongside school authorities, partners, educators, students, and parents.

The nail-biting final match consisted of two 30-minute halves, culminating in a 2-0 victory for the Oumarou Cl©ment Ou©draogo Departmental High School of Arboll©. The victorious team was rewarded with the championship trophy, 50,000 CFA francs, a set of jerseys, gold medals, and two balls. The runner-up, Yako Provincial Multipurpose High School, received 40,000 CFA francs, a set of jerseys, a ball, and silver medals.

Zamb©l© High School, which secured third place, was awarded 30,000 CFA francs, a set of jerseys, and a ball. Songnaba High School, finishing fourth, received 20,000 CFA francs, a set of jerseys, and a ball. In addition to football, women's athletics competitions were also organized, and outstanding participants were duly recognized.

The chairman of the organizing committee, Ibrahim Kouraogo, stated that the competition aimed to foster social cohesion and identify footballing talent in the province's secondary schools. Mimtiri Oualb©ogo, the Provincial Director of Secondary Education, Technical and Vocational Training of Passor© and the competition's promoter, expressed his appreciation to everyone who contributed to the event's success, including the sports sponsor.
