Kenedougou: The Kouloho high school, in the commune of Founzan, organized, on Friday, May 22, 2026, the 3rd edition of its Day of Excellence, placed under the theme: “Impact of emulation on academic results: guarantee of excellence and builder of future citizens”.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this ceremony brought together students, teachers, administrative and traditional authorities, as well as the villagers, to celebrate the values of merit, discipline, and academic success. The chief of the village of Kouloho, His Majesty Lote Daourou, was also in attendance.
On occasion, the best students were rewarded for their academic performance, discipline, and perseverance. In total, 45 students from nine classes were rewarded with school kits. In addition, the top students in each class each received a bicycle.
Students and classes who distinguished themselves in sporting events, particularly in football and athletics, were also awarded prizes. Awards were also given to teachers, as well as to prominent figures and young people from the village involved in local development.
The principal of Kouloho High School, Babou Bamouni, expressed his satisfaction with the results achieved. According to him, this day fosters healthy competition among the students and encourages them to work hard.
The patron of this year’s event, Lonkou Gerard Yaro, representing Schools Without Borders, thanked the organizers for choosing him. He stated that recognizing the merit of students is an important act that contributes to the development of future leaders.
The president of the Founzan special delegation, Wahabo Kabore, praised the school’s achievements, stating that they reflected the quality of its teaching. The ceremony also featured artistic performances and cultural activities.
