Banwa Parishioners Unite in Faith for Pentecost Pilgrimage

Banwa: Catholic faithful from the Saint-Paul parish of Sanaba celebrate their parish pilgrimage. On the solemnity of Pentecost, the Catholic faithful of the Saint-Paul parish of Sanaba held their parish pilgrimage this Sunday around their bishop, Mgr Guy Moukassa Sanon, within the parish grounds.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the parish of Sanaba experienced a powerful moment of faith and communion during this pilgrimage. Many faithful attended this spiritual gathering, marked by prayer, contemplation, and fraternal joy. The pilgrimage was punctuated by a rich spiritual program including meditation on the holy rosary, times of confession, Eucharistic adoration, and a grand mass presided over by Bishop Guy Moukassa Sanon.

During this Eucharistic celebration, particularly solemn moments were experienced, including the blessing of the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary under the title of “Our Lady of Lourdes”, as well as the sacrament of confirmation of 56 faithful. In his homily, the bishop invited the pilgrims to be builders of peace and artisans of social cohesion, in this period of insecurity that Burkina Faso is going through.

The pilgrimage ended in an atmosphere of deep fervor, with adoration and a Eucharistic procession, in order to entrust to God the personal and communal intentions of the pilgrims.
