K©n©dougou: The Muslim community of Samogohiri celebrated Eid al-Adha, commonly known as Tabaski, this Wednesday in fervor and unity. The official prayer was held on the grounds of the Samogohiri A public primary school, led by Grand Imam Sinari Ouattara. From the early hours, the site welcomed a crowd of men, women, young people, and children from the various surrounding neighborhoods and villages to mark the festival of sacrifice in an atmosphere of religious fervor.

According to Burkina Information Agency, in his sermon, Imam Sinari Ouattara expressed wishes for health, peace, and prosperity for all the faithful and for the country. He particularly stressed the need to strengthen understanding between communities and to preserve social cohesion, a guarantee of local stability. In accordance with the ritual, the sacrifice of the sheep took place at the end of the prayer. Imam Sinari also had a special thought for the Defense and Security Forces and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland engaged on the ground to secure the territory.
