Guiriko Region Bodies Reaffirm Patriotism and Unity During National Colors Ceremony

Gogo: The constituted bodies of the Guiriko region reaffirmed their commitment to the values of patriotism and unity during the traditional monthly raising of the national colors ceremony held at the Palace of Justice in Bobo-Dioulasso. Souleymane Nakanabo, the Secretary General of the region, presided over the event, representing the Governor.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Mr. Nakanabo expressed his appreciation for the strong mobilization of the region's constituted bodies around the raising of the national colors and the national flag. He asserted that their presence signifies a collective attachment to the values of patriotism, unity, discipline, and cohesion which are essential for harmony in Burkina Faso.

In light of the upcoming Primary School Certificate (CEP) and 6th grade entrance exams, along with the Junior High School Certificate (BEPC) scheduled for tomorrow, Souleymane Nakanabo extended his encouragement and best wishes for success to all participants in the region's education system. He urged the candidates to remain focused, disciplined, and confident in their abilities to achieve results that reflect their efforts, aiming to position the Guiriko region prominently at the national level.

The commencement of June also marks the beginning of the wet agricultural campaign, with the Guiriko region being a significant agricultural production area in Burkina Faso. The Secretary General called on all rural actors to maintain their commitment and dedication to enhance their contribution to the country's economic and social development. However, he also emphasized the importance of adhering to guidelines and recommendations to mitigate risks of flooding and other natural disasters during this period.

Adama Kafando, representing the First President of the Court of Appeal of Bobo-Dioulasso, announced the upcoming organization of the Open Days of Justice in the city of Sya. He also highlighted the final of the Justice Cup, scheduled for Saturday, June 6, featuring a match between the team of notaries and the Dozos, both participating in this competition for the first time.
