Bamako: The President of the Transition of Mali, General Assimi Gota, Head of State, received his Beninese counterpart, Romuald Wadagni, on Tuesday in the early afternoon, as part of a friendship and working visit. Upon disembarking from the plane, the Beninese Head of State was greeted by Army General Assimi Gota, with all the honors due to his rank.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the playing of the national anthems of both countries, the greeting of the constituted bodies as well as that of the Beninese residing in Mali constituted the highlights of this welcoming ceremony organized in honor of the guest of the President of the Malian Transition. After an initial meeting at the presidential pavilion, the two Heads of State then went to the Koulouba Palace for the work that will mark this visit of a few hours.
