Zondoma: Yousfa Ou©draogo fulfilled his dream of passing his CEP exam despite having a broken arm after falling from a tree. He was declared successful during the results announcement held at the Gourcy 2 Basic Education District (CEB).
According to Burkina Information Agency, Yousfa, a student at the Gangourg-Sandgo school in the Gourcy district, arrived at the examination center on June 2nd with a bandaged arm. Like all the other candidates, he was determined to obtain his primary school certificate. His wish came true as he was declared admitted during the proclamation of the results at jury 1 of the CEB of Gourcy 2, which includes his school.
Yousfa expressed his happiness, though he found it hard to articulate his joy like many of his comrades. His uncle, Boureima Ou©draogo, who accompanied him, shared in his joy. Yousfa was determined to pass the exam despite his injury, his uncle noted.
The school's director, Harouna Sayaogo, expressed surprise when informed by Yousfa's uncle that he would take the exams. Sayaogo praised the student's courage and determination, especially since Yousfa had to abandon classes in April due to a fracture in his right arm.
Once at the examination center, Yousfa benefited from the support and guidance of his teacher, who cared for him throughout the tests. This success was a shared joy for the student, his parents, and the entire educational team of the school, which recorded a success rate of 97.06%.
After his admission, Yousfa was ready to enter sixth grade next fall and pursue his dream of becoming a soldier to defend his country. Despite his prolonged absence, he managed to obtain his diploma with a total of 111.5 points out of 180. The CEB of Gourcy 2 recorded 1,190 admissions out of a total of 1,214 registered.
