The initiative is designed to equip future teachers with the ability to manage their income effectively once they begin their professional careers.
‘As future civil servants, they will soon begin to receive their salaries. It is important that they acquire financial literacy skills in order to direct their resources towards saving and productive investment,’ explained Mr. Lompo. He emphasized the importance of cultivating an entrepreneurial spirit among teachers, asserting that they serve as crucial intermediaries in imparting this culture to younger generations.
‘School teachers have a major role in shaping citizens. By integrating the values of entrepreneurship and financial independence into their teaching practice, they will contribute to building a more responsible and creative youth,’ said consultant Kondia Fran§ois Lompo. The participants appreciated the relevance of the discussions, indicating that the knowledge acquired would enable them to adopt better financial management practices.
Student-teacher Abdoulaye Tamboura expressed that the session opened new perspectives on the necessity of financial planning and developing income-generating projects. “Independence should not be solely political; it must also be financial.
