Passor©’s National Tree Day Sees 800 Seedlings Planted in Tangin

Passor©: The province of Passor©, with the assistance of the provincial directorate of water and forests, successfully planted 800 seedlings in Tangin on June 20, 2026. This initiative was part of the 8th edition of National Tree Day (JNA), held under the theme 'My concession, my tree'.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the tree-planting event occurred at the medicinal plant grove in Tangin, situated five kilometers from Yako. The ceremony was presided over by Sadou Ou©draogo, the Secretary General of the province (SGP) of Passor©, who stood in for the High Commissioner of the province.

A total of 800 plants were strategically placed at the provincial grove site in Tanguin, contributing to the national objective of restoring the region's vegetation cover. The operation was officially launched by the secretary general, accompanied by members of the constituted bodies and numerous participating citizens.

The SGP expressed gratitude for the significant participation and emphasized the importance of the initiative titled "The patriotic hour to re-green Faso," aimed at enhancing the country's environmental resilience. Mr. Ou©draogo urged each citizen to uphold this commitment by planting and caring for at least one tree within their premises, service areas, or any suitable location.

This endeavor highlights the dedication of Passor©'s stakeholders to environmental conservation and their proactive stance in combating desertification.
