Ouahigouya: The Governor of the Yaadga region, Thomas Yampa, has officially launched the 2026 baccalaureate exams, urging the 5,265 candidates to be disciplined and diligent. The launch took place at the Naaba Kango Vocational High School in Ouahigouya.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Governor Yampa emphasized that arrangements are in place to ensure candidates can take the exam under good conditions. He encouraged students to remain disciplined, focused, and diligent with the goal of obtaining their diplomas. The regional authority also reassured the public that in areas facing significant security challenges, consultations had led to the implementation of appropriate measures to ensure everyone could participate in the exams.
The Governor called on parents and community leaders to support the smooth running of the exams in the Yaadga region. Candidate N©imatou B©lem expressed her hopes that the exam topics would be accessible to everyone, despite the stress of the exams, as she aims to validate a year of hard work.
Drissa B©lem, the Regional Director of Secondary Education and Vocational and Technical Training, advised students to carefully reflect and apply the knowledge acquired during the school year, while emphasizing the importance of avoiding fraud. This year, the Yaadga region sees a total of 5,265 candidates, including 2,841 girls across all academic tracks, participating in the exams. The first results are expected on July 2, 2026.
