Koosin: The High Commissioner of the Koosin province, Noufo Dembel©, officially commenced the 2026 baccalaureate session this Tuesday at the provincial high school by opening the first envelope of written exam papers. A total of 624 candidates are registered for this year’s session. Dembel© encouraged the candidates to strive for an honorable standing at the regional level.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the High Commissioner, accompanied by a delegation, first acknowledged the teaching staff responsible for overseeing the exams. He then visited one of the examination rooms to offer support and motivation to the candidates. The High Commissioner emphasized the province’s expectations for the candidates to excel and secure a commendable position regionally.

The commencement of the written baccalaureate tests marked a significant moment as Noufo Dembel© opened the initial envelope, symbolizing the start of the examination process for 2026. Among the 624 candidates registered, there is one candidate with a disability.

Karfa Ferdinand Boni, the provincial director of Secondary Education in Koosin, noted a decrease in the number of registered candidates by 119 compared to the previous year. The candidates are distributed across two examination centers in the province, with jury number 384 situated in Djibasso and focusing on series A and D, while Nouna hosts juries 385 and 386.

A unique aspect of the 2026 session is the relocation of some candidates to different centers. This includes 13 candidates from the GCC series taking their exams in Koudougou and 31 candidates from the F series in Ouagadougou.
