Loroum Candidates Gear Up for BAC 2026 in Ouahigouya


Ouahigouya: The examination boards for the 2026 Baccalaureate session commenced on Tuesday, 2026, across the nation. Candidates from the Loroum region are participating in their exams this year in Ouahigouya, the capital of the Yaadga region. A total of 97 candidates, consisting of 39 boys and 38 girls, are registered for the exam.



According to Burkina Information Agency, these 97 candidates are distributed among the examination boards in Ouahigouya, where they will undertake both written and oral Baccalaureate exams. The provincial director of Secondary Education and Vocational and Technical Training, Souleymane Ouermi, encouraged the candidates to tackle the challenges with determination. He conveyed that this examination is not an insurmountable challenge but rather the result of years of effort and discipline.



Mr. Ouermi urged the candidates to stay calm, believe in their abilities, and strive to perform their best. “The province of Loroum is counting on your rigor to make our colours shine,” he advised. He also acknowledged the commitment of teachers, supervisors, and parents, expressing gratitude for their continuous support. “I also commend the patriotic commitment and sacrifices made throughout the year by teachers, parents, and educational supervisors to guide our children, sometimes in demanding contexts,” he stated.



The candidates from Loroum are participating in two series in Titao, series A and series D. The governor of the Yaadga region, Thomas Yampa, also addressed the candidates, encouraging them to approach the exams with honor and dignity.
