Djibo: The High Commissioner of Soum Province, Wend Nere Wilfried Tougma, officially launched the written examinations for the 2026 baccalaureate session in Djibo on Tuesday. During the event, he urged candidates to avoid all forms of cheating in order to preserve the integrity of the exam and the image of the province.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the launch ceremony marked the beginning of the written exams for the 2026 baccalaureate session across Soum Province, in line with other provinces in Burkina Faso. The event saw the presence of several key figures, including the provincial director of Secondary Education, the head of the center, the president of the jury, members of the educational administration, and officials from the Defense and Security Forces.
Addressing the candidates, High Commissioner Tougma extended his encouragement and best wishes for success, emphasizing the importance of remaining calm, focused, and disciplined throughout the examination period. He highlighted the necessity of adhering to established rules, urging candidates to avoid fraudulent practices that could undermine the exam’s credibility and damage the province’s reputation.
Furthermore, Mr. Tougma appealed to the jury members, supervisors, and all personnel involved in the examination process to uphold rigor, responsibility, and professionalism, ensuring that the tests are conducted transparently and fairly. The province of Soum has several candidates participating in this 2026 baccalaureate session, distributed across various examination centers.
