Kourw©ogo: The written examinations for the 2026 baccalaureate officially commenced in Kourw©ogo province on Tuesday, marked by an opening ceremony at Bouss© municipal high school. The event was presided over by Issiaka Ganamtor©, President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the Bouss© municipality, where 1,002 candidates are competing for their first university diploma. The candidates consist of 518 girls and 484 boys.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the exams began in an atmosphere of calm and optimism for successful outcomes. The candidates are categorized into three streams: the A4 series with 406 candidates, the D series with 533 candidates, and the professional baccalaureate with 63 candidates. Five juries have been established to ensure the smooth execution of the exams, stationed at various high schools including Dimdolobsom provincial high school, Bouss© municipal high school, Laye departmental high school, and in Ouagadougou for candidates in Civil Engineering and Construction specialties.
Fadilatou Zango, the jury president, stated that the operations commenced under favorable conditions, with a high attendance of candidates and an organizational setup that meets the exam requirements. Prior to the exams, the delegation visited several exam rooms to motivate the candidates. Issiaka Ganamtor© encouraged them to maintain calmness, discipline, and confidence, emphasizing the importance of these attributes for exam success.
The ceremony also featured Alain Sawadogo, an ambassador for education, who urged students to stay focused throughout the examinations to enhance the province’s success rate. Ganamtor© expressed appreciation for the dedication of teachers, educational supervisors, and stakeholders who have supported the students throughout the academic year. Through this collective effort, Kourw©ogo aims to ensure a peaceful examination process and achieve maximum success for the candidates.
