Bingo: The Bingo Medical Center (MC) conducted its semi-annual monitoring activity on Tuesday, marking a significant step towards evaluating and enhancing the health services available to the community.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the session was chaired by Comrade Yacouba Gouem, President of the Special Delegation, and led by Comrade Harouna Kabr©, the Head Nurse of the Bingo Health Center. The event saw an exceptional turnout, including the first Head Nurse of Bingo since 1984, traditional and religious authorities, the Head Nurse of Pitmoiga, community stakeholders, opinion leaders, the Health Center management committee, and a broad representation of the health district’s population.
Comrade Harouna Kabr© delivered a comprehensive presentation on the monitoring activities of the Medical Center. The discussions covered essential aspects of the center’s management, such as the pharmaceutical depot’s management, the laboratory’s completion progress, and the construction of the center’s perimeter wall.
Public health data and indicators were a focal point, with statistics on Prenatal Care (PNC), childbirth, Family Planning (FP), malnutrition cases, and malaria prevalence being presented interactively. This approach facilitated active understanding and fruitful exchanges with the community.
The session also recognized the dedication of those working in public health, with around ten individuals receiving certificates of appreciation for their unwavering support and invaluable assistance to the Medical Center’s mission.
In a gesture of solidarity and support, Comrade Zeida Denis, representing the association for the integrated development of Bingo, donated 125,000 CFA francs and pharmaceutical products to aid the center in its mission to provide quality health services.
The meeting, held at the Bingo town hall’s reception hall starting at 9 am, showcased strong mobilization among local stakeholders, underscoring the community’s commitment to improving health services.
