Boulgou: The Bango A public primary school, situated in the commune of Zabr©, has had its roof restored after severe damage caused by bad weather in May 2026. According to Burkina Information Agency, the president of the special delegation of the commune of Zabr©, Alain Boubi© Bassono, visited the site with delegation members to assess the quality of the repair work and express gratitude to the association. The renovation project cost nearly 2,500,000 FCFA, addressing the significant damage inflicted by heavy rains and strong winds.

The adverse weather had torn off part of the roof of the third-grade classroom, exposing students' textbooks and notebooks to rainwater. Concerns grew as a building housing classes such as CP1, CE2, CM1, and CM2 also faced potential collapse risks. Founded by Gilbert Gouba, a member of the Burkinabe diaspora in Spain, the association has been working since 2019 to enhance schooling conditions for children from vulnerable families in the Boulgou region. It annually supports hundreds of students by covering school fees and distributing school kits.

During the handover ceremony, catechist Romain Yabr©, representing the association's president, emphasized their commitment to education. "When we were informed of the situation at Bango A school, we felt it was our duty to act quickly. The education of children is a collective responsibility," said Mr. Yabr©.

Alain Boubi© Bassono, the PDS of Zabr©, praised the solidarity shown, which alleviates the educational community's concerns.
