Ouahigouya: The Yaadga region is ready to welcome the 2026 Patriotic Immersion conscripts. In preparation for the second edition of the mandatory patriotic immersion (IPO), members of the central coordination committee held a day of discussions with stakeholders in the Yaadga region on Thursday, July 2, in the city of Naba Kango, AIB observed on site.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the chairman of the Yaadga regional cell committee, Thomas Yampa, who is also the Governor of the region, welcomed the central level's approach of engaging with the grassroots for a successful organization of IPO 2026. The regional authority informed the participants of the current state of preparations in the region.

The authorities have confirmed that the Yaadga region is generally prepared to welcome those called up for mandatory patriotic immersion from the four provinces. The delegation, led by Boukary Kabre, delivered two presentations outlining the national status of preparations. Notably, significant improvements have been introduced across all aspects of the immersion program this year to better support the IPO 2026 recruits.

For one month, the future builders of the nation will be trained physically, intellectually, and socially through ten modules focused on patriotic values, citizenship, and civic-mindedness, among other themes. The seven sites designated for this purpose in the Yaadga region will become vibrant centers of 'Burkindlim'.

The head of the central committee mission, Boukary Kabre, reassured the president of the regional cell and his collaborators that the suggestions and grievances would be forwarded to the appropriate person for suitable responses.

As a reminder, the mandatory patriotic immersion 2026 involves those who passed the baccalaureate this year and those from the previous year, including those inside the country and in the diaspora, who are prevented for one reason or another. The program will take place from July 27 to August 26, 2026.
