Ouagadougou: The Niou-Tiare public primary school, located in the commune of Dalo, Ziro province, celebrated its silver jubilee on Saturday, June 27, 2026, marking twenty-five years of dedication to education.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was presided over by the Prefect, President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of Dalo, Ragnangnewende Ouedraogo, and was blessed by the canton chiefs of Niou and Tiare. The ceremony took place under the theme: '25 Years of Existence: Achievements, Challenges, and Prospects Based on Social Cohesion, Living Together, and the Excellence of Niou and Tiare.'

The celebration drew a large gathering, including administrative and traditional authorities, education officials, alumni, former teachers, education partners, and community members, all united in their support for the school.

Founded in 2001, Niou-Tiare public primary school has seen 27 teachers, including five principals, contribute to its development. A tribute was paid to the first principal, Kabore Ouambi Fran§ois, with certificates of appreciation awarded to former teachers, education partners, and key contributors who have played significant roles in the school's growth.

The current school principal highlighted that the jubilee serves as a reminder of the institution's pioneers and an opportunity to reinforce the commitment of all stakeholders to a high-performing school built on social cohesion, community spirit, and excellence. The Head of the Dalo Basic Education District (CCEB) commended the initiative, emphasizing its role in assessing progress and rallying stakeholders around the challenges of quality education.

Organizers extended their gratitude to sponsors, alumni, education partners, and all supporters whose contributions made the commemoration a success. The event is seen as a lasting symbol of recognition, unity, and hope for future generations.
