Ouagadougou: The President of Faso, Comrade Captain Ibrahim TRAORE, welcomed the members of the Steering Committee of the Institute of Black Peoples-Farafina (IPN-Farafina) in an audience this Friday morning. The committee, led by President Claude Aimee TASSEMBEDO, sought the President's guidance and advice following their installation earlier in the week.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the 13 members of the IPN-Farafina Steering Committee, along with four observer members, attended the meeting to receive strategic direction from the Head of State. The committee was installed on Tuesday, June 30, and held its first ordinary session shortly thereafter. The session was a platform to discuss the committee's significant mission of raising awareness, building, and contributing to the renaissance of Black Peoples.

The first session of the Steering Committee took place from June 30 to July 2, 2026. During this time, the committee worked on establishing statutes, organizing the internal structure, and formulating internal regulations. These steps were deemed necessary to provide the support required to operationalize IPN-Farafina.
